Seed Pods

I found these little seed pods on the top of branches of a bush that I came across when I was at my parents for Easter. I knew I had to paint them, so I took a sprig or two home, and after I was done exams, painting it was just what I did! I finished it this weekend, and listed it in my Etsy store this morning.

I had been wanting to do a few paintings with more neutral / muted colours - for those who may not be able to match my colourful pieces to a room. The deep red branches add just a hint of colour :) - I can't completely shy away from it now.
