I just completed this painting this week. I was quite excited how this painting, Sapphire Dreams, turned out. I wasn't sure about the golden yellow flecks at first, but I think they help the blue so rich.
I've been wanting to do something with this shade of blue in the spotlight for a long time too. I feel this was the perfect application. It's such a perfect colour for a whimsy piece.
